SEO Analytics & Reporting
See What’s Working. Prove It.

Most businesses have SEO activity happening but no clear view of whether it’s generating revenue. Our SEO analytics and reporting services set up GA4, configure Search Console, build custom dashboards, and deliver monthly reports that connect organic search performance directly to business outcomes — not just rankings.

The measurement gap

If You Can’t Measure It, You Can’t Manage It

SEO without proper analytics is activity without accountability. You may be ranking for terms that drive no revenue. You may be losing rankings you don’t know about. You may have conversion problems that no amount of ranking improvement will fix. Analytics makes all of this visible.

The most common analytics problem we find on audit: GA4 installed but conversion events not configured. The client sees traffic numbers but has no idea whether organic visitors are actually converting. Setting up proper conversion tracking is often the single highest-value action in the first month of an engagement.

The difference between a ranking report and an SEO analytics report is business context. Keyword rankings tell you where pages appear in search results. SEO analytics tell you which of those rankings are driving traffic, which traffic is converting, what it costs per conversion, and how organic performance is trending relative to your business goals. GM Digital’s analytics and reporting service builds the infrastructure for both — and translates the data into decisions.

What's included

SEO Analytics & Reporting — What We Do

Full analytics setup, ongoing monitoring, and monthly reporting that connects SEO performance to the metrics your business actually cares about.

Setup

GA4 Configuration & Event Tracking

Full GA4 property setup including: event tracking for form submissions, phone clicks, booking completions, and purchases. Custom dimensions, conversion goals, and audience segments configured from day one. Google Tag Manager setup included.

Search Console

Google Search Console Integration

Property verification, sitemap submission, manual action monitoring, index coverage reporting, and core web vitals tracking. Search Console data linked to GA4 for unified organic performance visibility. New crawl issues flagged and resolved monthly.

Rankings

Keyword Rank Tracking

Automated weekly rank tracking for your target keyword set with historical trend data, SERP feature visibility (featured snippets, local pack, People Also Ask), and competitor ranking comparison. Segmented by device, location, and intent type.

Dashboards

Custom Looker Studio Dashboards

A live, always-updated reporting dashboard combining GA4, Search Console, and rank tracking data in a single view. Accessible 24/7, shareable with your team, and built around your specific KPIs — not a generic SEO template.

Reports

Monthly SEO Performance Reports

A written monthly report covering: organic traffic trends, keyword ranking movements, conversion performance from organic, top-performing pages, and a plain-English explanation of what changed, why, and what we’re doing about it. No data dumps without narrative.

Alerts

Anomaly Detection & Traffic Alerts

Automated alerts for: significant ranking drops, organic traffic anomalies, crawl errors, manual actions, and Core Web Vitals failures. Issues are flagged within 24 hours — not discovered at the next monthly report.

The report structure

What a GM Digital Monthly SEO Report Contains

Every report follows the same structure — so you know exactly where to look each month and can track progress against a consistent baseline.

01

Executive Summary

A 3–5 paragraph narrative covering: what improved, what declined, what caused significant changes, and the single most important action for next month. Written for a business owner, not an SEO technician.

02

Organic Traffic & Conversion Performance

Month-over-month and year-over-year organic sessions, users, new users, and conversion events (form submissions, calls, bookings, purchases). Organic channel performance in context of overall site traffic.

03

Keyword Ranking Movements

Target keyword positions vs. prior month, with winners (moved up 3+ positions), losers (dropped 3+ positions), and new entrants into top 10/20. Competitor ranking comparison for shared target keywords.

04

Technical SEO Health Check

Crawl errors, indexing issues, Core Web Vitals status, new Search Console alerts, and any manual actions. Issues categorised by severity with recommended resolution timelines.

05

Next Month’s Action Plan

A specific, prioritised list of SEO actions for the coming month based on what the data shows — not a generic task list. Each action tied to an expected outcome and the metric it affects.

FAQ

SEO Analytics & Reporting — Questions Answered

What should an SEO report include?
A meaningful SEO report should include: organic traffic trends, keyword ranking movements for target keywords, Google Business Profile performance for local businesses, conversion data from organic traffic, and a clear narrative on what changed and why — not just a data export.
What is the difference between Google Analytics and Google Search Console?
Google Analytics 4 tracks what happens on your website after a visitor arrives — pages viewed, time on site, conversions, user behaviour. Google Search Console tracks how your site appears in Google Search before a visitor clicks — impressions, click-through rates, average position, indexing status, and crawl errors. Both are essential and complementary for complete SEO visibility.
How often should I receive an SEO report?
Monthly is the standard cadence — it gives enough time for meaningful ranking changes to appear while keeping the data actionable. Weekly summary reports are available for clients in competitive markets or during active campaigns. Quarterly deep-dives are recommended in addition to monthly reports for strategic planning.
Can you set up GA4 for a site that still has Universal Analytics?
Yes. Universal Analytics was sunset by Google in July 2024. GM Digital handles full GA4 migration including: GA4 property creation, event tracking configuration, conversion goal setup, Search Console linking, and historical data preservation strategies. If you are still relying on UA data, this is an urgent fix.
Do I need a separate analytics service if I already have an SEO retainer?
Analytics setup and reporting is included in GM Digital’s SEO retainers — you do not need a separate engagement. This standalone service is designed for businesses that have in-house SEO or a separate SEO agency but lack proper measurement infrastructure and want clean reporting without switching providers.
